Upsetting exhausting traditions
Upsetting exhausting traditions
2009
Thanks for your feedback on the Surveys page (that Poll has gone now, but there are others!), it gave me some good guidance. Most of you thought there should be nothing there at all! In a sense that is a great option, but then I thought about it, and saw a missed marketing opportunity... True, easiest to leave the exhaust out, in one sense, but then everyone EXPECTS an exhaust tail pipe, so why not exceed those expectations?
So, I started looking around. Either a shiny white tailpipe or a glossy chrome finish might say ‘I’m a clean machine’? And these ones have red LEDs in them! Perfect opportunity to add a garish touch at the rear end. Although I’d like to insert a small power plug right at the end, so if you happen to look down into the tailpipe, you will see a place to plug your power cord! Of course, its likely to be only a dummy one.
Replace the tailpipe or love the gap?

Rather than have a gap in Mr240’s rear visual line, what about putting a shiny chrome tailpipe that screams ‘clean’? This pair I found rather cheaply at the auto shop - you can see why they didn’t sell, far too showy - but they do have red LEDs in them, so evRob says I can connect them to the brakes lights!
