There is a range of controllers available from Golf Cart standard upwards. Until very recently nothing matched the power and features of the Zilla range, but Netgain (the makers of a well known range of DC motors) announced they were now making high-end controllers, so there may be competition. The announcement is dated 1dec09 on the EVworld site which Ive pointed to, so maybe these are just another product that doesnt exist yet... unlike my handmade EV (which is, well, nearly ready... :-))

The Zilla controller range from Cafe Electric has the reputation of being the best DC motor controller on the market for electric vehicles. That’s what they say on the Welcome page of the Owner’s Manual in front of me, and who am I to question them?
